From the 7th to the 14th April, our Principal, Mr Anastasios Kossifidis, had the chance to travel to Barcelona in order to attend the course “Team building for schools: play and fun, building educators’ communities” organised by Europass.
The course aimed to delve into group psychology, personality development and activity planning, with a view to the improvement of the education provided in schools. More specifically, the participants learnt how to create a climate of cooperation and collaborative problem solving, and an atmosphere of community, tolerance and team spirit. They also discussed ways they can initiate the growth of empathy and trust in a group of teachers, and in themselves while enhancing creativity and boosting self-esteem.
During the seminar, our Principal participated in numerous group activities, exchanged views and information with colleagues from various European countries and different educational systems, such as from Germany, Ireland and Croatia. Moreover, he had the chance to admire the beautiful sights of the city of Barcelona, to meet the cultural features of the area and interact with the local community.
