This year our school has applied for Erasmus+ funding to implement a KA1 project entitled ‘Breaking out of our shell to nurture global citizens’. To meet our school’s need for integration in an increasingly globalised world, our project aims to increase the opportunities to bring global citizenship into our classrooms; to motivate our staff to break out of their shell and themselves become global citizens, increasing their interest and their own social and civic competences, and facilitating their participation in international activities. Ultimately, we hope to equip our pupils with the necessary skills, self-confidence and inspiration to pursue a global identity, and to enhance their social and civic competences to face and resolve global challenges.
We are looking forward to the results of our project’s assessment, hoping that all relevant stakeholders will support our initiative.
